Equal Opportunity Survey
OFCCP began using the EO Survey in 2000 and has promised to
cover all establishments covered by the Executive Order every two years.
This survey requires submission of the following data:
- General information regarding the company's federal
contractor and/or subcontractor status
- The end date of the establishment's Affirmative Action
Programs
- Confirmation that the establishment files postings with the
state employment service and/or America's Job Bank
- Personnel Activity summary data. This would be
applicants, hires, promotions, and terminations for each EEO-1 category by
gender, ethnicity and race
- Compensation and tenure data for each EEO-1 category for
non-minorities and minorities by gender
Why are they doing this?
OFCCP has three goals in implementing this program:
- Encouraging self-evaluation and, thereby, increasing
compliance with EEO requirements
- Target Compliance Reviews toward contractors likely to be
out of compliance
- Increasing Department efficiency by allocating resources
where they can be most effective (i.e., facilitating an approach called the
tiered review process)
Your consultant can further advise and/or assist you in
completing this mandatory survey.
